Tucked away in a secluded little cul-de-sac on the outskirts of the charming historic town of Haslemere sits our extension & renovation project, Falcon Cottage.

Completed in January 2021, this build consisted of a large 3 storey timber frame rear extension including reconfiguration of the ground and first floors in order to create larger living spaces. Additional bedrooms were added, together with a new home office. Improved continuity between the indoor and outdoor space was created, making it both more readily usable and conveniently practical for the client and their young family to move between the inside and the outside spaces.

One of our client’s main concerns was to address the lack of natural light entering the property so we incorporated a number of sky lights into the rear extension to brighten the internal spaces and maximise the amount of daylight penetrating the home. A number of large windows/patio sliders were installed on the back of the house to really open up the rooms and gain as much light as possible.

The new open plan kitchen and dining area now features one of our ‘Chinthurst Original’ tailor-made kitchens. (Manufactured and installed by the Chinthurst Interiors element of the Group) The clients opted for a modern take on the classic country in-frame Shaker doors, with a large central island incorporated a double Belfast sink with under counter storage on both sides.
